Citrus fruit is often used to help fight of cold and flu viruses as they are high in vitamin C.

Greek and other live and active yoghurts help your immune system as it helps balance the natural bacteria in your body, as well as being loaded with vitamin D.
You can even get more out of your immune boosting yoghurt by adding fresh fruit to it.
Seeds and nuts
Seeds and nuts are full of nutrients and vitamins which help to maintain a healthy immune system through their antioxidant nature.
Other factors that help your immune system
It is also beneficial to your health to not smoke, reduce your alcohol intake and maintain a healthy weight. As well as these your mental health is very important and shouldn't be taken for granted.
Try and get plenty of sleep, reduce your stress levels which can both be helped through regular exercise.
